"Ben Davis visited our school for our World Book Day celebrations. We had a wonderful few hours creating amazing heroes and revolting villains and getting them to work in all manner of imaginative settings.
Our pupils loved the opportunity to stretch their creative muscles and meet a real-life author who has his name on the front of a book and everything! - and Ben's engaging, silly, infectious style and sense of humour has had a lasting effect on the young people he worked with.
We'd love to have him back!"

When Ben Davis came to visit our school the day was jam packed with purposeful activity, enjoyment and laughter. He interacts well with students and his books resonate with teenagers. He provided an insight into his characters and workshopped the students using the themes in his ‘Joe Cowley’ series to improve their creative writing skills. He made some very insightful points to students and he invited them to share their work with the group. During the day he was happy to speak to any size group from workshop in the library to a full school hall. Ben read from his book engaging us all from start to finish – the basis of his work for the day. I would fully recommend a visit from Ben and I look forward to asking him back to Bishop Vesey’s once more in the near future.
